About Sari

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, with over 20 years of consulting experience, I provide geriatric care management services with a focus on problem solving and long term planning. 

I attended law school in the late ‘80s and began my career in a big firm corporate practice in New York City. Through my legal education and practice, I refined my analytical skills. I ultimately left the law to work as a career coach and consultant. In 2001, I decided to obtain a graduate degree in social work to develop the clinical skills to further support my clients.

As a social work student, I completed two 9-month clinical placements at an inpatient psychiatric unit and at a community outpatient mental health center. It was through this training that I developed the ability to recognize and understand a variety of mental health issues and to support clients with mental health challenges.

I began my professional social work career as a nursing home social worker and I loved working with patients and their families. After several years of nursing home practice, I realized that patients could most benefit from social work support after they were discharged home. To meet that need, I started my elder care consulting practice in 2010.

Throughout the years, I have worked in a variety of settings with hundreds of families offering advice, support, and practical solutions for aging-related challenges. As a result of my multifaceted background, I am uniquely qualified to help clients clarify concerns, evaluate options, and make educated decisions. I would appreciate the opportunity to work with you and your loved ones to create a plan for life’s next chapter. 

I earned a BA from Boston University, a JD from Fordham University School of Law, and an MSW from Simmons University School of Social Work. I have completed 40 hours of mediation training in accordance with M.G.L. ch.233 sec.23C. I hold a certification from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers, and am an Advanced Professional member of the Aging Life Care Association.
